Technical Repair Support, Training, and Consultation Services
Beginning September 1, 2005, Pioneer RESA will offer support for school system repair technicians and training for school and system personnel in routine repairs and repair prevention. Donald Hatfield, an experienced RESA technician, will provide the following services at no cost to member systems:

Maintain ongoing scheduled contact with system technology directors to determine and address system needs. |

Provide second-tier assistance to perform and assist with repairs that can not be accomplished by school system personnel. |
 |
Consult with system personnel on trouble shooting, parts orders, supply sources, volume orders, and warranty work. |
 |
Provide “in-shop” and “shop day” repair assistance to help system personnel to complete difficult repairs. |
 |
Provide telephone consultation for trouble shooting and repair assistance. |
 |
Deliver scheduled classes in technical repair and preventive maintenance at Pioneer RESA and other regional locations (no cost other than PLU fee). |

Deliver on-request classes in technical repair and preventive maintenance to school and system personnel at school sites. |
 |
Train and mentor new and novice system and school-site technicians. |
 |
Train system staff in technology troubleshooting and preventive maintenance. |

Procedures:
- Superintendents are asked to designate a single individual as the System Technology Support Contact (technology director in most cases).
- Donald Hatfield will meet with individual System Technology Support Contacts during September to discuss services, system needs, and establish system for requesting services and training.
- System Technology Support Contact will inform other school and system personnel of local internal procedures for requesting repair support and training
Note: This is a second-tier repair support and training service rather than a first option on-call repair service. All requests for repair should include a description of initial repair attempts.
