New Teacher Certification Institute

Post-baccalaureate initial teacher certification is available to students who hold degrees in appropriate content fields and have been admitted to the University through Graduate Studies. Post-bac initial certification is available in early childhood, middle grades, special education, art, English, French, mathematics, physical education, science, and Spanish.

The New Teacher Certification Institute combines the best of exemplary research-based practices for preparing new teachers with a veteran faculty of practitioners and university faculty.  Completion of the Institute requirements qualifies the non-renewable certificate teachers for a clear renewable Georgia teaching certificate. (Non-renewable certificate teachers have completed Praxis I and Praxis II requirements.)
