Franklin County

After a search that began in November, 2006, the Franklin County Board of Education has named Dr. Ruth O'Dell as the finalist for the Superintendent of Schools.  Dr. O'Dell presently serves as assistant superintendent for student services in the Houston Co. School System.  She has eighteen years administrative experience in Mississippi and Georgia and has been in the Houston County system since 1995.  Prior to being assistant superintendent she was also a successful principal, director of special education, school psychologist, and classroom teacher.

Cleveland is the home of the famous Cabbage Patch Kids and Truett McConnell College. Helen is Georgia's Alpine Village nestled in the mountains and is a favorite vacation site for many visitors.
